Recent storms between April 13–17 have caused flooding and damage in communities across Wisconsin. As impacts continue to be assessed, early reports point to water intrusion, basement flooding, and the need for clean-up, debris removal, and mold mitigation.
The Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church in partnership with UMCOR is actively coordinating volunteer support and is seeking individuals interested in helping with response and recovery efforts.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are a range of ways to get involved, including:
- Data entry and administrative support (remote)
- Hotline support for Crisis Cleanup (remote)
- Disaster case workers (hybrid)
- Damage assessment (in-person)
- Clean-up and muck-out assistance (in-person)
- Basic home repairs (in-person)
- Mold mitigation (in-person)
- Debris removal (in-person)
- Other specialized skills
Both skilled and general volunteers are needed. Some roles can be done remotely, while others involve in-person support in affected communities.
