More than 26,000 homes across Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties sustained major damage or required habitability repairs from the August 9-10, 2025 flooding. The April 13–17, 2026 severe weather outbreak has since compounded those impacts with new recovery needs, including nearly 3,000 new reports of damaged homes across the state, with many homes impacted for a second time in Milwaukee.
These needs reflect priorities identified by the Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG), a collaborative network of nonprofit, faith-based, and community organizations working together to support recovery from the August 2025 & April 2026 flooding and storms.
