Recovery efforts remain ongoing for households impacted by recent flooding and severe weather across Wisconsin, and there continues to be a need for organizations and volunteers able to support cleanup and recovery efforts.
Organizations, faith-based groups, volunteer teams, and community partners interested in providing free assistance to affected households — including muck-outs, debris removal, cleanup, drywall work, repairs, rebuilding support, or other recovery-related services — are encouraged to register through Crisis Cleanup at:
Crisis Cleanup is a national disaster work order management platform used to help connect households requesting assistance with organizations willing to help. Groups can register independently and coordinate their own volunteer efforts and deployments through the platform.
Urgent Need for Remote Volunteers
There is also an immediate need for volunteers to assist with entering damage reports and survivor requests into the Crisis Cleanup system.
This volunteer role:
- Can be done remotely
- Includes training and support
- Requires no prior disaster experience
- Helps connect households with recovery organizations more quickly and efficiently
Volunteer data-entry support is especially important right now as new requests for assistance continue to come in.
