Southeast Wisconsin COAD invites community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations, businesses, and other partners to join us for our General Membership Meeting on Thursday, September 10, from 10:00–11:30 a.m.
You don’t need to be a current COAD member to attend. If your organization has a role in helping communities prepare for, respond to, or recover from emergencies—or you’d simply like to learn more about the network—this is a great opportunity to connect with us.
What is Southeast Wisconsin COAD?
The Southeast Wisconsin Community Organizations Active in Disasters (SEWI COAD) is a regional network that brings organizations together before, during, and after disasters.
Disasters affect far more than traditional emergency response agencies. Nonprofits, human service providers, faith communities, healthcare organizations, businesses, volunteer groups, local governments, and many others all have important roles to play. COAD helps build those relationships before an emergency happens, while providing a network for sharing information, identifying needs, coordinating resources, and supporting community recovery when disasters occur.
Our meetings are an opportunity to make connections, learn about emerging issues, share resources and strengthen our collective ability to serve Southeast Wisconsin communities.
