Partners across the greater Milwaukee area are invited to participate in the Extreme Weather Task Force (EWTF) Winter Coordination Meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

The Extreme Weather Task Force brings together organizations working to prevent injury and death related to extreme cold and hot temperatures in the greater Milwaukee area. The Winter Coordination Meeting provides an opportunity for partners to share information, review plans and resources, identify gaps, and strengthen coordination ahead of the winter season.

New This Year: Extreme Temperature Fatality Review

This year’s meeting will include a pilot Extreme Temperature Fatality Review. Participants will work through a cold-weather fatality from last winter to identify lessons learned, potential gaps and prevention opportunities, and consider whether a more formal multidisciplinary review process could be valuable in the future.
