Early Response Team (ERT) Training – January 10 | Brown Deer
This Early Response Team (ERT) training prepares volunteers to support communities in the immediate aftermath of disasters such as floods and severe storms. Participants will learn how to safely and effectively assist with tasks like debris removal, mucking out flood-damaged homes, and placing tarps to prevent further damage—while providing compassionate, survivor-centered support.
This training is open to anyone interested in supporting future disaster recovery efforts in Wisconsin, regardless of organizational or religious affiliation. It is well suited for individuals, community groups, and organizations looking to build local disaster response capacity.
Volunteers who complete the training are eligible to serve on ERTs when invited through established coordination channels. Teams do not self-deploy, helping ensure responses are aligned with community needs.
Recertification options are available for volunteers with current or recently expired ERT credentials.
